Frequently Asked Questions

The best way to prepare for your first appointment is to complete all intake paperwork thoroughly before you arrive. This helps me understand your needs completely and allows us to use our time together most effectively. Wear comfortable clothing that lets you move easily, as some physical assessment may involve gentle movement.
If you plan to use out-of-network insurance, I recommend contacting your provider ahead of time using the tip sheet included with your intake forms to check your out-of-network benefits.
To find the clinic easily, simply enter “Barron Chiropractic & Wellness Center” into Google Maps. My clinic is located inside this business, and Google Maps includes helpful photos to guide you right to the office.

An internal pelvic exam may be recommended to fully assess your muscles and tissues but it’s never required. I will always explain the exam in detail beforehand, answer any questions, and only proceed if you feel completely comfortable. Your consent, comfort, and choice are always my top priority and we will make meaningful progress whether or not you choose to proceed with an internal pelvic exam.

Yes, I treat men on a case by case basis for all pelvic health concerns. The best way to find out if we are a good fit is to reach out to me via email or contact form to schedule a 15 minute discovery call with me. We will discuss your history and symptoms and from there I can let you know if I can help you!

No, you don’t need a referral to schedule an appointment. As a licensed physical therapist in Massachusetts, I’m able to evaluate and treat you directly without physician referral.

In a cash-based practice, I work directly with YOU - not your insurance company. This allows us to spend the full appointment time, one-on-one, without restrictions, limitations or requirements often imposed by insurance plans. I really value having plenty of time with you.
-
I do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to work together without being limited by insurance networks, visit limits or pre-authorizations.
-
Yes! I can provide you with a detailed receipt (called a superbill) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I always recommend you check with your insurance provider to understand your out-of-network benefits before starting care.

Yes, you can use your FSA or HSA to pay for physical therapy appointments as long as the treatment is considered medically necessary. I recommend checking with your provider to confirm your plan's coverage. If needed, I’m happy to provide an itemized receipt or superbill for reimbursement. Be sure to keep a copy of your receipt for your records in case your FSA/HSA provider or the IRS requests documentation.
